Steve keeps telling me that I should get books on CD from the library and I keep thinking, "Well, what's the point in that?" :) Well, I was blog lurking a minute ago and saw someone who said that she listens to them while she cleans - what a great idea!! Have something totally distracting me when I'm doing something I don't really like to do. So, I've put the obvious books on CD on hold at the library (Twilight series.. I'm trying to catch everything I missed the first read through), but I'm like 30th in line for all of them.. surprise! So, I'm looking for others that I might enjoy listening to, too. Any suggestions?

the harry potter books on tape are really good. the inheritance series by christoper paolini is really good too.
I really love Jodi Picoult. Her books do have some swearing, but it's all in context. (I know that doesn't make it okay but it doesn't really bother me unless it's the big, bad words) She also deals with some deep subject matter in some of her books but she is a really good read, in my opinion. I agree that the Harry Potter books are awesome on tape, did you listen at all to the last book when Steve borrowed them from us? The guy who tells the story does an awesome job. Joe has listened to tons of books on tape while he's commuted and when he was going to Idaho every week, we even got books on tape when we came to visit you in Texas. I can't remember the names of any of them but I have always just gone to the library and picked them by looking at the title and reading the back. Joe has only NOT liked a couple that I've picked out in all these years.
One of my favorite books is The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. It's a lovely story with great characters.
The other one you might enjoy is called "Animal, Vegetable, Miracle" by Barbara Kingsolver. It's nonfiction, but I think you'd find it interesting.
Happy Reading!
Thanks, guys!! I've started the Harry Potter series and the guy who does it is AWESOME! I'll definitely put myself on the waiting list for the other books y'all have suggested. :)
