I decided that I needed to deep clean our kitchen in preparation for our big move - and never are my kids so interested in me than when I'm trying to be dedicated in doing something. After consistently trying to redirect their attention and physically moving them out of my way, I created a barrier with a folded up box. Thought it would work and keep them from wanting to come in the kitchen. Not so. The barrier created even MORE appeal to getting in there and in the middle of my work.
OK, so it was cute and I ended up taking lots of pictures - and Joseph thought he was being HILARIOUS.
"Uh, Mommy, what's with the wall blocking me?"
"Ha! I found a hole!"
"Al...most...there!"
"Yeah, I'm pretty cute, huh? Why don't you just let me in?"
"Finally made it!"
"Hey, good idea, Kathrynn!"
